India's Education Challenge
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
- Nelson Mandela
Education is the key to addressing challenges like poverty, population growth, and unemployment. It equips
them with the tools they need to become productive members of society, both at the local and global
levels,
and to escape the cycle of poverty.
The Right to Education Act in India makes schooling free and mandatory for 6–14-year-olds. However, for
millions, this possibility remains inaccessible. UDISE+ 2023-24 (Economic Survey 2024-25) reports 1.9%
primary dropouts, 5.2% upper primary dropouts, and 14.1% secondary school dropouts. In a nation with 24.8
crore students across 14.72 lakh schools, these numbers represent millions of young lives being denied
their right to education.
How We Help
At Educating Buddy, our goal to help each child learn, grow, and thrive. We want each child to achieve
their best possible version that dreams freely and believes in themselves. We offer resources to make
these dreams achievable. We work in classrooms by providing books and resources and offer personalised in
person and online sessions to make learning accessible. We also help them become informed global citizens
through our program, Global Bridge, that makes children aware about ongoing global issues, historical
events and current affairs.
